At Saipem's Karimun Yard, we spearheaded the implementation of a comprehensive access control system to effectively manage the influx of up to 15,000 workers. Central to this system is the installation of Full Height Turnstiles, WebPass Readers, and UHF Readers strategically positioned to regulate and monitor entry and exit points.

What We Did
Our approach included the integration of door access controls, tailored to the specific access privileges of individual workers. This additional layer of security ensures that only authorized personnel gain entry to designated areas within the facility, enhancing overall safety and asset protection.
Furthermore, we implemented a Personnel On Board (POB) system, specifically designed to facilitate the assembly of the Saipem Jangkrik Project. This system enables real-time monitoring of the number of workers on-site, providing invaluable data for resource allocation and efficient emergency response planning. In the event of an emergency, the POB system facilitates rapid evacuation procedures by accurately accounting for personnel present on the premises.
Through the seamless integration of cutting-edge access control technology and innovative solutions like the POB system, we have equipped Saipem’s Karimun Yard with the tools necessary to optimize workforce management, bolster security measures, and ensure the safety of all personnel on-site.
